The architect for Pinderfields General Hospital specified Aluglaze infill panels to form a stunning curtain walling system that maximised natural light, without compromising thermal performance. The Aluglaze panels comprised polyester-coated aluminium which the company bonded to a core of Styrofoam insulation, to meet a U-value of 0.35 W/m2K.
The visual appeal of Aluglaze helped the building to meet the demanding aesthetic brief required by the architect. The panels were manufactured to exact tolerances by Panel Systems which allowed the contractors to create stunning glazed facades around six courtyards within the hospital.
